Next years expected HIV results will come in year 16 of BIT's 20 year Bit225 patent protection. After that they'll need to start evergreening by manipulating molecules and refiling, sometihng you really only want to be doing for a drug thats already generating revenue.
Phase 3 is a long way off, can see primary patent protection expiring before any meaningful P3 results are available.
