Yes, South African finance system has it's fair share of issues, an interest rate rise is possible soon, Russian relations are upsetting developed nations, there slum housing & inflated housing prices for the middle class, & an egg shortage due to Bird Flu outbreak (Eggs are currently South Africa's hottest commodity), & a history of political problems, etc.
South Africa is a member of BRICS & many investors are quietly confident in the long-term strength of their financial systems.
