    A lot easier than that these days.........
    The Hazer process takes natural gas and breaks it up into carbon and hydrogen atoms using a well-known scientific process called the thermocatalytic decomposition of methane. While the chemistry is nothing new, Hazer's innovation is to use iron ore as the catalyst, overcoming the problem of economics that plagues processes using much more costly catalysts such as powdered nickel.
    Mr Pocock said that recovering or regenerating the catalyst used is an expensive process, but the cheaper cost of iron ore meant it could be treated as an impurity in the graphite rather than have to be recovered and captured.
