There are no explicit references to whether or not partnership meetings were also conducted in Vietnam with any Vietnamese companies but if there was a chance of a partnership with Vinfast then that would likley have been included in this sentence IMO. Or did Vinfast send representatives to Australia, South Korea or Europe for partnership discussions?

I concur with @Justforkicks gut feeling that Vinfast has walked. They are unlikely to be partnering to finance our DBU IMO, and why would they when Cavico already has a hydrometallurgical refinery powered by hydroelectricity just over the border within easy transport distance. They signed up with them.

Potential partners are likely Australian, South Korean or European and there's plenty of professional outfits there.

Samso really should not have published that article earlier this year but Scott should not have done the interview in advance and asked him to sit on it. All my opinion.

Mind you, if the South Korean firms are either LG Chem or SKI Innovation then any product produced by a DBU could still end up in Vinfast vehicles.
