Google "AFR and 5 ways to play long term AI theme on the ASX".Semiconductor-related businesses
The semiconductor industry on the ASX is as tiny as the microchips the sector manufactures.
Yet, it stands to be the biggest winner. Although arguments might proceed as to why our governments don’t have the foresight to invest in a foundry (the billions required probably have something to do with it), the reality is that players in this space are few and far between.
This is a shame given Nvidia in the US is often thrown up as a poster child for the sector. But computers need microchips and AI machines need faster and more powerful ones. Hence, companies involved in their creation should do well over the long run. Stocks such as Brainchip, Weebit Nano, and BluGlass immediately come to mind for those brave enough to invest in them at this early stage.
