My take is that CLAWS is about developing stuff that does not yet exist. Whereas Applied Energetics have already delivered "lasers to national security customers that exceed 5 terawatts (1 TW = 1 trillion watts) in peak power........"
They've already gone a fair way down the path of what CLAWS seems to be about. They just might get some funding to keep on going, and with the MOU with BluGlass, well we'll see what happens.
