That's the whole point. If Prairie can produce cheap lithium from low-concentration brine, a dozen other companies around the world can do it also with better stuff to start with. And that means clay will not be able to compete. Investors already see that, with LAC hitting a new low this morning at US $2.92.

Brine can meet all demand, because the infrastructure doesn't exist for everyone to buy a new EV all at once. Even if they have a socket, the grid won't supply that much power. And lithium does not get used up, it gets recycled.
