Probably to help decide between horizontal and nodding donkey. This well went deeper than a lot of shallow heavy crude fields so there was a chance the increased temperature/pressure might allow production from verticals. We now await their experts' advice and an outline of the production strategy and timelines.
We won't get this til after the next appraisal though because it is now likely that the lower sheets will be the first production target.
