The extreme pressure zone is slightly deeper where there is a faulted/fractured zone. They were still getting oil in shakers in the rest of the Marti which implies substantial pressures regardless.
My thoughts are that if the oil was weighted to counter that pressure then the subsequent emulsion effect would also have similar weighting. Hence no flow and a need for a chemical remedy.
