There has been Hardman, FAR, and of course Melbana. It's not too uncommon but it's risky. FAR couldn't afford to fund their stake with the appraisal wells and Hardman ran into Chinguetti issues due to reservoir. Both companies found substantial discoveries and I believe that Hardman had unfortunate timing as their Uganda discoveries were world class.
