My view, as is TC is that once they perforate and test Alameda in multiple zones they cannot return downhole without intererfering or being interfered by Alameda. Thus they must rectify Marti first or not at all. Hence the importance of the verb, preparing and adverb concurrently in the announcement. I am not an O&G engineer, it just seems logical and I was putting that to question here on HC. Clearly if they can isolate the upper levels and attempt to rectify Marti at a future date that is far better than writing off Marti until the next deep well or waiting to flow test Alameda now until after rectification. The specific term “ preparing to test Alameda” would seem to support my thinking plus the fact that they always test from the bottom up, presumably for a reason. This is very important because if we write off Marti now where it could have been rectified it has massive implications.
