From conversations with management my understanding is that they wanted to improve well control to get better recoveries and log results. So far this has been achieved and I would expect Alameda results to be out soon for logs. There should be a substantial increase with these as per results in the Amistad.
Unfortunately the emulsion issue is an unexpected issue with the different mud system, simple case of two steps forward one step back.
