From a conversation I had with AP, the original Alameda-1 well intersected higher pressures, highly fractured reservoirs and lighter quality crude in the U3. What he had seen in the shakers was a wood quality (medium or light) crude from the U3.
... any possible reasons given for maybe no surface samples ? any taken ? ... maybe kind of important don't you think AF ?
The result in Alameda-2 complicated the original assumption, what is interpreted is that there is a fault running in between A-1&2 and through A1 creating a compartment in the area of A-1 that is higher pressure and that the bacteria hasn't biodegraded the oil."
... here AF you may have cut through it all ... you may want to screen-shot your post and in two years look back on it, you may wonder what-tf you were thinking or may be counting your maybe large amount of money ...
... imo this bet may have come down to whether you think A-3 and on, may report a higher API than A-1 ... [rates?]
... though may want to have some BIG ba**s for that bet ... big-time ...
