I would say excellent brilliant move. Looks like the commercial manager has won the debate around various options.
The outgoings (around $100K rig daily rate) will be matched with incomings (around $100K from oil sales) and there won’t be any need to go to shareholders until field development is required!
And when field development comes around they will have all the data for reliable execution.
No immediate sugar
hit (for traders) but long term value creation for shareholders!
