Realistic flow rate from an over pressured fractured carbonate world be in the 2.5 - 6 kbopd range from a vertical well, could be higher just a matter of how many and what size fractures it hits. Could even reach the magic 20k/d but often that sort of fracture density/porosity causes a bunch of drilling problems which we don't seem to have seen, hence id counsel being conservative.... If there are no fractures (or vugs which are like little caves caused by secondary changes through water running through not what we are seeing here) then it may not flow at all...but in a thrust zone like this it seems that there are plenty of fractures. However lets face it it's all conjecture - or liquor and guessing - we shall have to see from a test. I'm crossing all digits.

So rate depends very much on the fracturing and the amount of overpressure as well as the API of the oil (higher API = lower density = higher drawdown = higher rates). How long it will run for is a function of the connectivity of the fractures and how large the oil volume is and/or aquifer it is connected to. Where is the oil vs where is the water more wells and generally production to figure out. Overall recovery factor (what %age of oil youll get out) will probably be a function of how long water takes to break through....I knew a field in Thailand that would start off at 10kbopd and water out over a few days until shut in for a recharge.

One great thing about carbonates is you can acidise using HCL to improve your near wellbore permeability hence rates, that is helpful.
