I too "follow" charts: but I don't let them rule my life (I would not follow a chart over a cliff etc.). To me, charts are either a signal or a confirmation, but never the only thing I look at. Buying, for example - I would first want to have some fundamental reason for buying, and would then look at charts to determine the optimal level (as opposed to simply catching a falling knife). Same logic with selling.

It's the old chicken and the egg argument sometimes.

All I know now is that this thing is going North (and I am now onboarding the remaining part of my position, as I always keep a core position and then add and subtract to/from it from time to time). Keeping it simple.
