The figure you mentioned for the Australian price sounds old, they have reportedly made cost reductions since then. I wouldn't know because I haven't tried to buy one in recent times (/ever!) ... although at 9K I would in a jiffy.
Whatever it currently costs in Australia is besides the point. My calculations were based on what it would cost someone in the region / state within Germany as per the announcement, receiving the 65% discount.
