Most Aussies have no idea about franking credits. They think they are some miraculous bonus.
I have had this debate a million times with investors who say they don't like trust distributions because they are unfranked (mostly).
I have no idea how people can't understand that a dollar in the hand is no worse than 70cents with a 30cents franking credit.
I gave up.
