A single-frequency blue laser on a chip is can be used for one of the following applications:

Optical Atomic Clocks – Blue and UV lasers are used to excite specific atomic transitions in elements like strontium and ytterbium, which are crucial for high-precision timekeeping.

Quantum Computing & Communication – Blue lasers can be used for manipulating trapped ions, quantum dots, or NV centers in diamond, which are key for quantum computing and secure quantum communication.

Holography & High-Resolution Imaging – Single-frequency lasers provide high coherence, making them ideal for holography, interferometry, and microscopy applications requiring precision.

High-Density Optical Data Storage – Blu-ray and next-generation storage technologies use blue and violet lasers due to their shorter wavelength, allowing for finer data pits on a disc.

Metrology & Spectroscopy – Blue lasers are used for Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence excitation, and other high-precision optical measurements.

Biophotonics & Medical Applications – Certain biological molecules absorb blue light efficiently, making blue lasers useful for fluorescence imaging and photodynamic therapy.

And, since this particular chip-based laser is extremely compact and low-power, it may be optimized for applications in miniaturized optical systems, wearable sensors, or integrated photonic circuits.
