Another issue I forgot to address in my BLG history lesson was the SPPI/Lanstead saga. In the BLG 2018 accounts show SPPI as their largest shareholder (at 13.69%). Following through with significant shareholder notices SPPT sold down from 2019 to 9/3/2020 to 5.69& and currently do not appear in the "top 20". An announcement of 15/1/2019 (see HERE) said that this holding would be transferred to Lanstead over a 36 month period - SPPI clearly thought Lanstead would treat it as an investment, however the record shows that Lanstead simply bought 1,590,610 shares/month at a discount and immediately dumped them on the market until SPPI terminated the arrangement in June 2020 (see HERE) . As you can see the result was that Lanstead's selling collapsed the BLG share price from 15c/sh to 5c/sh by simply dumping them on the market - SPPI (and BLG and shareholders) were the victim and thus SPPI terminated the "arrangement" (in 2020). Just another of the "ills" that confronted BLG
