As for purity and accuracy, this is definitely something to watch. If the goal was to hit "battery grade" quoting 99.5% vs 99.55% is insignificant. However quoting 99.9% and 99.99% is very significant. My take on all this is the results are better than even SM were expecting, and we are seeing a possible re-tilt in possible focus and connection. The comments around "manganese in the water supply" and "assaying the reagents" indicate SM are now considering things they have not previously considered. Or, perhaps they had considered, but previously these impurities were not the limiting factor

Being BDL on almost every impurity except CaCO3, and the source of that was the sodium carbonate used in the final step, is very significant.
