BML is confident of reaching FID within the 12 month option period.
They have held off finalising offtakes until this option was in place and will now re-engage with offtakers and financiers.
They are aiming to get project financing from offtakers.
Implications: We won’t see offtake agreements tomorrow. FID is likely 6-12 months away.
Overall it’s a very positive announcement but most likely means further delays in the signing of agreements
