Copper was and still is in backwardation, which basically implies a tight immediate market with loosening in the future price curve... if a lot of supply came online, this could reduce / invert.
In summary, as long as the copper market structurally remains the same, it wouldn't result in liabilities (unless prices spike and we have to adjust MTM values on BS).
