There are literally trillions in us treasuries which pay interest for what it’s worth. They only a promise at best and have no asset backing that I can see. Gold and equities realestate are or have a hard asset backing. What happens when money starts flowing out of treasuries or not into them. It’s going to go somewhere and there aint enough room to go under the pillow.
