KW's commitment to the TOs was always on display, but it struck me that he could have done more to manage the expectations and aspirations of SHs, especially after U3. That was a disaster and our SP got the smashing it deserved. Also, I suspect that the unravelling of the plans he so proudly presented at the 2013 AGM really undermined his position. If I was looking to farm-in, I would want Eric at the helm. Simple as that.
As I see it, the Laurel needs to be tested this year and we need a larger partner. And the company needs to tie-off what on earth is going on with Ungani. I hope Eric is looking forward to these challenges. I would be!
