Performance rights are good when used properly, but most ASX listed companies give away rights with low hurdles like this.
300k salary alone for an explorer with no revenues is pretty substantial without millions on top from performance rights for simply doing your job.
The only way to stop the gifting is by voting them down, but generally they have enough friends with substantial holdings to pass them without any issues.
