Sadly I think part of the problem relates to miss handled public relations and a failure of Mike and IG to relate appropriately with the Egyptians on the ground at Abu Dabbab and in officialdom in Cairo. Blaming locals for the failure of the alluvial operations was seriously silly.
Reading between the lines it appears to me that GIP's main asset in Cairo is the local man Ayman Ayyash so why he is only been retained part time beats me!
