    In New Zealand we have no capital gains tax on shares except when you have shares not on the exempt list. IDM is not exempt. ie It is Foreign Investment Fund (FIF) liable. But get this there is no way to offset capital losses. Gains get whacked but not losses. So if it ain't a multi-bagger giving you a nice tax paid profit then unhappiness reigns.
