    Do you think this court action is due to him and this might be a way of protecting CAD a bit?

    Lots of ways to look at it. The best thing for CAD is probably fresh enthusiasm as you point out. Red flag is that this re-model/focus is probably the 2nd or 3rd time occurring with this outfit.
