Mogul does have a pretty advanced tournament platform some people organise their tournaments through google docs - I used the mogul quite extensively and was great with API integration etc yes there at times there was issues but majority of issues I found were more people rather than technical bugs. I.e one annoying issue was with the challenging ladders was you could only vs people a few ranks above you but if someone locked you down before someone above was free you then had to wait for that game and people would protect each other at the top by making it 3 days for the fight and then keep swapping around. However Mogul made some changes which made it more palatable.

However just because you have the best if it isn’t profitable or sustainable then there isn’t much of a business unless getting rapid growth (eg uber) but this direction needs significant capital to carve out a market.
