It seems to me that the outgoing directors were the main problem. There was a perception that they were holding the company back.
I haven't heard a bad word about JC. I think it's worth giving him some time and seeing how he performs as part of the new board.
It would be great having MT back but I doubt he is the only one capable of taking PAA forward.
