I think you can thank the outgoing board members as when the vast majority of existing shareholders demonstrate that they are completely dissatisfied with their performance then it is a little rich to blame the shareholders.
Note, that announcement is written from the outgoing board members.
What needs to happen now is consolidating the board to have the tools and skills to take PAA to where is should rightfully be.
The new board would not have even met yet so it is a matter of getting that effective before any other step.
