The answer is that it was shareholders' own fault. They pumped this up on the big rampy pumpy toot toooot 'alll onboard' 'heading to $1' train......wayyyyy past fair value, Masses of naive shareholders got onboard.
Big holders exited.
People got trapped into losses on paper and refuse to sell for a loss.
Everytime the price goes up....bottom fishers cut their losses and price heads down. This is repeated ad nausem
