I tried to get the details from shell but came up against a brick wall. This is what they said

We do not share this detailed information. The Palta-1 exploration well logging results indeed confirmed that it did not encounter commercial hydrocarbons. The Noble Clyde Boudreaux drilling rig will move to the Browse Basin to commence the Prelude drilling programme – drilling production wells to feed Shell’s floating LNG facility. The Palta-1 well was the final work program commitment for WA-384-P.

But like you have already said, doesn't mean there is nothing there just not enough for Shell at this time.

As for Seychelles, can't remember who said it but WHN could be right for a take over. Why buy a bottle of milk when for the same price or less you can buy the whole dam dairy.
