It doesn't look good for them on a number of fronts. The independent investigation had a very quick turnaround- so I question the thoroughness. I'm a believer in reasonable doubt however if there were in fact txt messages from the CEO referring to his drug enhanced performance then IMO the board could have asked him to submit to drug testing. If he tests positive he goes, if he refused to cooperate he goes. Plenty of organisations drug test their employees - not much to expect the CEO of a major company to be drug free. I doubt they did anything like this, but who knows? This is all my interpretation based on what I've read in the media so is just my opinion.
