It doesn't usually work this way.
See that share price when you type into google ASX:AGL and go to the ASX website?
So if these guys want to buy AGL today, then that is the price they will pay if they can get 90% of the shareholders to agree to selling @ x amount.
At $7.50 a share that is not close to an $8 billion market cap for AGL.
