Retirement of Mr David Moroney
In addition, as part of the Board renewal process, Mr Moroney, the longest-serving Non-Executive Director, has indicated he will
retire from the Board with effect on 31 December 2023. Mr Moroney will remain until the end of the calendar year to facilitate an
orderly transition of his duties as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Changes to the Company’s Board Committees will be considered in due course following the Annual General Meeting.
Further Board changes are anticipated during 2024, in line with a transitional approach to Board renewal and succession planning,
whilst maintaining the composition, skills, experience and size appropriate for the Company.
Prior to joining Genesis Minerals, Moroney was the Chief Financial Officer of St Barbara Mines Limited from 2016 to 2023. He also held various financial positions at other mining companies, including Newcrest Mining Limited and OZ Minerals Limited.
This man was one of the people that negotiated in the best interest of SBM shareholders for the sale of Gwalia.
