That would be nice. In the end though, because they have syngas with its advantages for what they want to try and achieve, the macro picture for O&G would have to be seriously stuffed beyond what we have already seen for the economics not to work. The surveys coming out about Australians wanting more products made at home is only going to make this a better play in my view, despite the fact these guys are significantly in bed with the Chinese.
I am a supporter of hydrogen fuel, particularly as the technologies continue to improve to create it from gas, syngas etc. It would serve Australia's economy regarding transport, much better die to its vast distances, than lithium batteries ever will, IMO.
