I agree with Nic on why (from the preso) but Nic needs to develop genuine exploration pipeline which should be combination of couple of JVs with promising juniors by throwing ~ $2.5m at each for 50% of particular projects with options to go to 75% and organic exploration efforts. This is where ALK failed so far and needs to pick up their game.

I think even ALK now understands they need to find bit more at NMPP in order to show that extra value - it's called risk mitigation. Considering NPV number at current spot prices, it is preferable ALK to find something shallow at around 0.8g/t AuEq to boost the NPV for the first 3-5 years.
Is it possible? Very much - but now they need to pick up pace and I think they will.. well I truly hope.

btw - here is some update for you... ANT survey is planned to be completed by end of AUG.. currently have some access issues but I don't see them as big. In my view this survey is important as I doubt they will start the AC drilling before this activity is completed. And without AC drilling there are no RC/DD targets at Boda4 and Boda2/3.
Even though Driell is shaping to be the next big thing and possibly will be, Boda2/3 and Boda4 may produce the goods too. Boda2/3 already has but I think ALK are hoping to see shallower targets from the ANT.
