I find it interesting that only EV's were used to determine the copper required.
Short sighted imo.....when

Solar power systems can contain approximately 5.5 tons of copper per MW. Copper is in the heat exchangers of solar thermal units as well as in the wiring and cabling that transmits the electricity in photovoltaic solar cells.

And when....
a single wind turbine can contain 335 tons of steel, 4.7 tons of copper, 3 tons of aluminum and 700-plus pounds of rare earth minerals.

The copper required for renewable energy would far exceed that of EV's only.
