Youanmi has a history of discoveries of gold rich thick quartz. These bonanza grade, narrow deposits are easy to miss along the Youanmi Shear Zone.
The Penny Gold project now owned by Ramelius Resources is one of these narrow bonanza grade deposits..
Penny gold is mainly confined to a quartz vein from 3 to 5 metres in width.
The first major hit by Spectrum Metals was 14m at 14.4g/t gold from 124m. Much more was to come and then Ramelius TO'd Spectrum. .
By comparison, the recent Rox hit at Youanmi South was 11m @ 25.8g/t Au from 120m,
Follow up filling is underway to determine the width.
