So they sent the samples to be taken for four-acid digestion which will supposedly give a "near total" recovery of minerals and stuff. This can then be used to inform geological interpretations.
In addition to this, the company has stated:
Selected intervals from the six metre composites have been sent for metallurgical testing to determine if
the mineralisation is associated with ionic clays and to provide an indication of potential recoveries. This
work will determine the extent of Larvotto’s future drilling at Merivale South.
My understanding is this met work will be a proper test to see if the deposit is ionic. I don't know what this entail but it looks like MEI confirmed their ionic deposit with recoveries of 43-58% using pH 4 ammonium sulfate solution.
