its of benefit it the market recovers and the share price goes back to $1.00. you can buy another share for a lower price. If means nothing if the market doesn't recover, but it also didn't cost you anything. It's a free option so to speak. It's just a shame you don't seem to be able to sell them. Though I guess you can buy stock now and then flick the stock and keep the option.
