The BOQPE note issue is a similar issue to SUNPG wherein after the issue SUN made the following announcement:
"Suncorp today announces to CPS2 Holders that Suncorp will Exchange all outstanding CPS2 at the Optional Exchange Date on 18 December 2017 in accordance with the attached Exchange Notice."
And so I would expect BOQ to make a similar announcement regarding BOQPD after the issue of BOQPE.
You will have no option IMHO to retain BOQPD after the optional exchange date so your options are to:
• cash up after the BOQPD dividend ex date and invest elsewhere; or,
• accept the reinvestment deal for the BOQPE issue before 5pm (Sydney time) on 15Dec17.
Of course; read the Prospectus 2 for BOQPE.
