Absolutely. Epiduo is composed of adapalene (a retinoid) and benzoyl peroxide (an antibiotic and skin-peeling agent).
Benzoyl peroxide can cause dryness, burning and redness of the skin (personal experience)
Adapalene is likely to cause the same & retinoid is generally considered not safe during conception and pregnancy
BTX1503 seems to be pretty safe and has few topical side effects so far
