I agree,,, but have seen data analysis "re interpreted" If your Primary Data is false,, eg the Placebo vs Treatment marked incorrectly all of your analysis will be skewd from the original handling error ...
1400 participants?? plenty of room for errors.... we have no choice but to wait for clarification,,, you can be sure 2nd and 3rd opinions will be sought..
