The thing that perplexes me about BOT is all the years of testing they did with the Uni of QLD. Surely at some point there, they would have gotten an inkling this stuff didn't work. I understand the company may have been incentivised to hope and pray there was efficacy there having sunk so much time and money in but the clinical testers and scientists?
It seems part of a broader pattern I've noticed in the last few years in other venues when discussing scientific theorems, people who claim to follow the principles of scientific methodology can get awfully cock-eyed and aggressive about a subject especially when their tenure depends on the argument they''re holding to.
The lesson I'm learning here is that the field of science (and especially medicine) seems to have just developed into another gig for people to earn a good wage with. I'll be taking any future clinical results I read about in the future with the aplomb of Madame Zara's crystal ball.
