Ah - good question but in short we do not know yet until much more drilling and later in fill drilling reveals more.

What method - underground mining to extract the high value targets only OR open cut producing a large variable grade outcome that results in lower cost mining than underground operation. If grades consistently flow I would suggest open cut however we will not know until JORC determined and strip ratios averaging reported. Open cut moves more material at lower cost however there can be a lot of waste material - overburden to be stripped. Also open cut is not just a large hole. It is simple method but still requires excessive mining outside the target zone for ramps etc and wall stoping to prevent slips. Each method has its own benefits but time will tell - they appear to be looking to drill - targeting results over a large surface area - 2km and growing which suggests open cut if grades at lesser depths continue to flow positively.
Anyway if open cut they will target a specific high grade area first - exploit that over early years then expand the size of the pit or have satellite pits in close vicinity as mining to much waste or low grade material to link pits is not economical. Similar to past mining history of the area where they had various pit workings.

The tech right across the board from drilling/defining a resource - to extraction then processing has improved a great deal over years where various options or a combination of options would be utilized.
