It will be interesting when the SVL SP rises above 27.5 cents to take the market cap over $380mill. (Shares on issue: 1,404,019,643 x 0.27065c). This will put SVL into the ASX 200 (XJO) Australia’s primary stock market index.


“Companies range in size from ~$380 million to over $100 billion and together account for ~82% (March 2017) of Australia’s sharemarket capitalisation. All companies are liquid and considered suitable for institutional investment.”


All companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) are ranked by market capitalisation. The top 200 ASX stocks that meet minimum volume and investment benchmarks then become eligible for inclusion in the index.


The index is comprised of the 200 largest ASX listed stocks and acts as the benchmark for Australian equity performance.


The re-rating could be in June. When (not if) SVL enters the Top 200, ‘institutional investment’ will ensure additional SVL general awareness & kudos coupled with an increase in stock turnover volume and (I’m sure) SP increase.
