Not such a far fetched idea. Not sure what a plant would take to power, maybe somebody with a broader knowledge of solar and electricity consumption could chime in. Would a qtr of a megawatt be sufficient with battery back up? Correct me if I am wrong, but I think a megawatt requires 1800-2000 x 400w solar panels?
Could you imagine if they decided to go this route. The Bingham CLG would be beside themselves because there'd be zero they could do about fighting it.
In fact I'd suggest that it would be game, set and match.
